The story began with two passion-forward men Mr Neeraj Sharma and Mr Brij Khungar. Back in the mid-'80s, theirtotal experience in the advertising industry was around the figure of O. Instead of ad agency experience, what they didhave was the old-fashioned stuff: the willingness to work hard, a hunger to learn, common sense to practice fiscalprudence and the commitment to see every job through to the satisfaction of the client.
Whenever a job required it, they would seek out the best writers, art directors and photographers they could find to deliver the highest quality of concepts and creativity possible for their clients and their brands. They would negotiate hard with media houses to create maximum value for the clients who trusted them with their brand stories. And they would keep their own costs low, avoiding the trap of practices that seemed excessive or detrimental to the client's interests.
After the turmoil in the ad agency business that separated media from creatives in the dotcom crash' years, the new millennium sees Crescent continuing to work with the same principles, and most of the same clients that they helped grow, back then, and even some of the same team members as well. Long-term relationships are the key to Crescent's success. The success that sees them not just continue to be a full-service agency, but actually expand and diversify downstream. 2007 saw us add a keyoutsourced service to our portfolio - commercial printing, with our own high-quality Heidelberg press!
Progressing from strength to strength with a growing roster of clients, including those attracted by our high-quality printing, the first half of the 2010s decade has been a great one for the Crescent Group. In 2019, we proudly unveiled our state-of-the-art paper packaging unit, marking a significant milestone to further strengthen our position as a leader in the packaging industry. To top it all, we set up a separate digital wing soon after - providing new-age expertise like creating websites, optimizing searches, and a whole range of social media content creation and communication services.
It's been three and a half decades of the Crescent story. And unlike a famous Hollywood company's crescent moon that has a boy resting on it, this Crescent is busy moving ahead with passion, along with its clients. Crescent has withstood many phases of the ad industry's waxing and waning times and hopes to keep its light focused on clients' communication problems for many moons to come!
